Confessions of an Economic Hit Man has made it to the top of 20 major bestseller lists--including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and USA Today, but it hasn't gotten there through exposure in the mainstream media. It's gotten there because concerned citizens like yourself have heard about the book through independent media outlets like Amy Goodman's Democracy Now and spread the word through your own networks. Well, we want to see the book break through the mainstream media to get the message out in a wider way. There are several ways you can help us break the mainstream media barrier.
If you'd like to see the book on The Daily Show, email Jon Stewart to tell him why you think an Economic Hit Man would make an excellent guest. We've created a sample letter that you should feel free to copy and use, or personalize with your own message to Mr. Stewart. You'll find everything you need--including the sample letter and instructions for contacting Mr. Stewart here .
And while you're contacting The Daily Show, why not fire off a note to other favorite television or radio shows you tune into frequently? You'll findanother letter we've created to help you do that here. You should also feel free to adapt this letter to send to any other radio or television shows you think would benefit from having John Perkins as a guest (to find their contact information, simply do an internet search for the show on any major search engine).
We also encourage you to send a letter to the editor of your local newspaper. We've created a sample letter that you can use to do that as well. You'll find that letter here.
We thank you for joining the movement to get the word out about the important issues John Perkins raises in Confessions of an Economic Hit Man.
